Elmosa offshore intakes including the InvisiHead and the onshore systems including the Infiltration, both use a natural
approach in dealing with problems associated with water intake systems. Potential Flow principle and Gravity are the main forces driving water into the Elmosa intake systems. The operational and maintenance problem of seawater intakes emanate from ingress of fish, the impingement of Zebra mussels and other marine life, seaweed, sand, and trash. We utilize the powers of mother nature through passive operation to totally eliminate in the case of the Infiltration or drastically reduce in the case of the InvisiHead any impact caused by theses sources of problems. The InvisiHead becomes hydraulically invisible to them, thus maximum protection is achieved. The NatSep basin activates gravity to separate sediments and debris from the flow. The Infiltration provides total exclusion of all the sources of intake trouble through filtration.
