Elmosa Seawater Intake Systems

The Elmosa seawater intake system is made up of 3 components: the InvisiHead installed offshore, the pipeline, and the NatSep installed onshore

Super seawater intake system; no sediment or debris inflow, no fish, no screens, no backwash or air purging, no maintenance.

The InvisiHead Intake Head System, Best technology available. Highly stable and remains in operation during the severest  weather conditions delivering full capacity; no shutdowns

The InvisiHead - super low entrance velocity ,0.091 m/s, approach velocity < 0.0025 m/s

When operating as a seawater outfall sensors located a few meters away from the outlet register in change in temperature, TDS, or velocity

The pipeline is designed so that no marine growth or sediment settllment allowed to take place inside the pipe

If during stormy conditions in shallow waters turbulence reaches the InvisiHead installed offshore near the sea floor and water becomes mixed with sediment and debris, all will be swept through the the pipeline and into the NatSep intake basin onshore where they separate from the water and settle at the bottom. The water reaching the seawater pumps will clean and free of sediment. No screening - moving or stationary - is installed at the NatSep.
